On December 26, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; hosted the six Priests, who were ordained on November 13, in the St. John the Evangelist Church in the Masyatsotn Diocese and completed their traditional 40-day seclusion period of fasting in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. They were led by His Grace Bishop Moushegh Babayan, Grand Sacristan of the Mother See.

His Holiness, conveying his Blessings and best wishes to the newly ordained Priests, congratulated them on their ordination to the priesthood, and wished God's support and guidance in their ministry. His Holiness highlighted that the service of a clergyman should be accompanied by a self-sacrificing and committed spirit, with a high awareness of being faithful to his calling and mission.

The Catholicos of All Armenians commanded the priests that in this difficult period, more than ever, the full and devoted service of the clergymen towards the people is important to inspire faith and hope for the Armenians, to strengthen their spirit of optimism, to instill unconditional love and dedication to the homeland, national and spiritual values.

At the conclusion of the meeting, His Holiness blessed the newly ordained Priests with the “Protector” Prayer, and gifted to each of them a hand cross, a communion holder.
