Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On December 25, under the presideny of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; at the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, a prayer for peace and solidarity was offered for the sake of Artsakh.

The ceremony was attended by the delegation led by Mr. Artak Beglaryan, adviser to the Minister of State of Armenia, who together with the Brotherhood of the Mother See Holy Etchmiadzin prayed to God for the peace of Armenia and Artsakh and the safe and secure life of the entire Armenian people.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Catholicos of All Armenians hosted the Artsakh delegation. At the meeting, the members of the delegation presented details to the Armenian Patriarch in Artsakh, particularly regarding the situation caused by the blocking of the Lachin Corridor, which led to the violation of the vital rights of the Artsakh people and put the Artsakh Armenians in front of a humanitarian disaster.

Condemning the provocation carried out by the Azerbaijani authorities, the delegation members discussed the steps to overcome the situation. In this regard, highlighting the unity of national potential and efforts in support of the people of Artsakh, His Holiness emphasized that the Armenian Church will continue to make efforts to provide possible support and assistance to Artsakh and Artsakh Armenians.

The Armenian Patriarch also informed that in all churches, during the Sunday Liturgy, prayers for peace will be offered for the sake of Artsakh.
