Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin Sees No Spiritual, Religious Threat in Vaccinating Against COVID-19 12.11.2021

 

 

The Supreme Spiritual Council, discussing the pandemic situation in Armenia, with deep concern noted the increase in the number of infections and the resulting mortality rates.

The Supreme Spiritual Council reaffirmed the statement of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin that the vaccination against COVID-19 does not pose a spiritual threat. The SSC emphasized the importance of combining the personal freedom with the public responsibility not to endanger the lives of others.

The dedicated service of doctors and medical workers to save human lives was highly praised.

The Supreme Spiritual Council also considered it necessary for the relevant health authorities to take measures to prevent the spread of opposing information on the benefits of vaccination and its consequences, to increase the effectiveness of the fight against the pandemic.

Once again, the SSC urged to keep all preventive measures to overcome the pandemic.
