Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On November 12, with the invitation His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; President of the Armenian General Benevolent Union Mr. Berge Sedrakyan participated in the meeting of the Supreme Spiritual Council.

The SSC members and ACBU President discussed programs aimed at preserving the Armenian identity, especially the vitality of the Armenian communities in the Diaspora, preserving and strengthening the national self-consciousness.

The opportunities  and ways of meeting the needs of the people of Artsakh, protecting their right to a free and safe life, restoring the destruction caused, and contributing to the strengthening of Artsakh were discussed. In this difficult mission, the importance of the unification of all national structures and the whole national potential was emphasized.

Within the framework of the visit, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians had a private meeting with the President of the Armenian General Benevolent Union Mr. Berge Sedrakyan, during which a private reference was made to the long-term cooperation between the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church and the AGBU in various spheres of national life, the importance of the continuation of joint programs for overcoming challenges in the homeland and the Diaspora was emphasized.
