Supreme Spiritual Council Meeting Convened in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On November 08, under the presidency of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; a Supreme Spiritual Council meeting convened in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
The meeting was opened with the Lord’s Prayer, following which the SSC members prayed for the peace of the souls of the Armenian sons martyred in the 44-day War of Artsakh, and the late Rev. Fr. Archimandrite Maghakia Amiryan.
Then, the Catholicos of All Armenians conveyed his Blessings to the clergy and the lay members of the Supreme Spiritual Council (SSC). His Holiness expressed asked that the Heavenly Lord aid the efforts of the SSC members.
During the five-day meeting, issues related to the Church administrative, organizational-legal, canonical, disciplinary and Church mission efficiency will be discussed. Special emphasis will be given to the aftermath of the Artsakh War, the pandemic, and the church-sponsored programs being implemented to alleviate distress and suffering related to these, as well as, the mission of the Church in the post-war and pandemic conditions.
The agenda also includes issues relating to the activities of the Hierarchical Sees, Dioceses and Pontifical Delegations.
