Washing of the Feet Service in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On April 6, on Holy Thursday, under the presidency of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; the Washing of the Feet Service was offered on the St. Trdat Open Air Altar of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
During the ceremony, following the reading of the prayers, His Holiness blessed the water and oil on the Holy Altar.
Afterward, under the singing of the hymns, following the example of Jesus Christ, His Holiness knelt on the bema before the Holy Altar and washed the feet of the members of the Brotherhood of the Mother See: His Grace Bishop Daniel Fntgyan; Dn. Garik Kadeyan; Dn. Anushavan Asatryan; Rev. Fr. Archimandrite Zatik Papikyan, member of the Armenian Patriarchate of Constantinople; Dn. Narek Temuryan, student of the 6th Auditorium of the Gevorkian Theological Seminary; conscripts of the N military unit of the RA Defense Ministry Vram Atoyan and Samvel Aslanyan; students of the "Eurnekyan" public school Felix Arakelyan and Suren Movsisyan, Ashot Asatryan student of the “Kyurkjian” Children's Support Center of the Mother See, as well as other children’s feet- Robert Alikhanyan, George Karayan, Hayk Sargsyan and Levon Kesablian.
The ceremony was concluded with the reading of the Gospel and the “Protector” prayer of the Catholicos of All Armenians, following which the blessed oil was distributed to the faithful.
