Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On April 17, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received the delegation headed by Mr. Antonio Sarafyan, Chairman of the Armenian General Benevolent Union of Buenos Aires (Argentina). 

His Holiness conveyed his blessing to the attendees, expressing joy for the opportunity to visit the spiritual center of all Armenians. His Holiness emphasized that despite the difficult situation in the Homeland, such visits are an opportunity for Armenians around the world to renew their patriotic and spiritual feelings and to contribute with new enthusiasm to the progress of the Homeland and community life.

During the meeting, the Armenian Patriarch noted with satisfaction that the Armenian colony in Argentina stands out for its special organization, zealous preservation of Armenian life and national values, which His Holiness witnessed during his Pontifical visits to Argentina.

The Patriarch of All Armenians also reflected with gratitude on the national benefit and dedicated activities of the community's educational institutions and national centers, urging them to continue to care for the Armenian education of the Argentine-Armenian youth with the same zeal, so as to be patriotic and devoted to the church, strengthen the community life and preserve the national identity.
