Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On September 19, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received Mr. Anton Borre the delegation led by the Vice-mayor of the city of Nice, France.

Referring to the difficult situation prevailing in the region, His Holiness informed the members of the Delegation about the large-scale military operations unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh today, the aim of which is to depopulate Artsakh with its genocidal policy.

Strictly condemning the hostile actions of the Azerbaijani authorities, the Patriarch of All Armenians emphasized the importance of the international community, as well as the friendly France, making all necessary efforts to prevent the new genocide against the Armenian people.

In his turn, the Deputy Mayor of Nice, Mr. Anton Borre, informed His Holiness about the plans of the Delegation in Armenia, reaffirming France's support to Armenia and Artsakh in this difficult situation.
