The Catholicos of All Armenians Received Members of the "Armenian Youth of France" Association

On July 13, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians received the members of the Association "Armenian Youth of France" (JAF) of Marseille, France, accompanied by the Head of the group Mr. Pascal Shamasyan and Mrs. Lusine Melikyan.
At the meeting Mr. Shamasyan presented to His Holiness the cultural, educational and social programs of Association in Armenia, emphasizing also the opportunity for young Armenians to get acquainted with the situation in the Homeland.
The Catholicos of All Armenians, expressing his appreciation to the members, teachers and head of the "Armenian Youth of France" Association for their commendable service in uniting the Armenian youth, reflected on his visit to the Association and the important efforts that are being made to provide Armenian education and upbringing to the younger generation.
His Holiness expressed hope that the young people, encouraged by new zeal of patriotism, returning to their country with greater zeal, will continue to contribute to the strengthening and progress of the Armenian community in Marseille. The Catholicos of All Armenians also urged the young Armenians to be worthy children of the Armenian nation, to love the motherland and the church in order to be able to preserve the national identity.
