Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On February 06, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received Mr. Hayk Marutyan, Mayor of Yerevan.

Welcoming the Mayor’s first official visit to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness wished success to Mr. Marutyan and his administration, emphasizing the importance of all the initiatives which are aimed at ensuring the ordinary life of the capital and solving the existing problems.

The Pontiff of All Armenians expressed His  appreciation and  reflected on the productive cooperation between the Mother See and Yerevan Municipality.

Expressing his gratitude for the reception, the Mayor presented to His Holiness the main challenges facing the capital and the steps are being taken to overcome them. Mr. Hayk Marutyan also expressed his readiness to support the development and enhancement of the cooperation between the capital and the Church for the benefit  of the residents  of Yerevan.

At the meeting, reference was also made on the activities of the Church's institutions in Yerevan: the three youth centers, the school of miniature, the “School of Masters” Center for the children with disabilities, Soup Kitchens, Day Care Centers, as well as, the issues related to the church care and maintenance.
