Prayer for the Republic was Offered on the Occasion of the Armed Forces Day

On January 28, in the chapel-baptistery of St. Vardan and St. Hovhannes Mkrtich of the Mather See of Holy Etchmiadzin, under the presidency of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; a Prayer for the Republic was offered; on the occasion of the Armed Forces Day of the Republic of Armenia. The clergy, the military officers and the people, who were present at the ceremony prayed to God for the peace, steadfastness and progress of Armenia and Artsakh, as well as the victorious course of the Armenian Army.
Afterwards, the Catholicos of All Armenians, accompanied by the clergymen, visited the "Yerablur" Military Pantheon to pay tribute to the memory of the brave soldiers who were martyred for the defense of the Motherland and pray for the repose of their souls.
His Holiness and the clergy also visited the graves of the nation's heroes, bringing their prostrations and prayers.
