Catholicos of All Armenians Received the Children of Syrian-Armenian Families

On February 21, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received the children of Syrian-Armenian families who have taken shelter in Armenia, accompanied by Mr. George Barseghian, Director of the "Center for Coordination of Syrian-Armenians' Issues" NGO.
Welcoming the children, the Pontiff of All Armenians brought his love and Blessings to them, and conveyed his appreciation to their parents, as well as, to all the organizations who support the Syrian-Armenian families settled in Armenia.
His Holiness with great regret took note of the current conditions and problems in Syria which disrupt the normal life of the Armenians living in Syria and became the reason for their forced displacement, at the same time, it was important to note that in the current situation, the Syrian-Armenians, turn their eyes and steps towards the Motherland and settle in their sacred native land.
During the meeting, the Pontiff of All Armenians held a question and answer session where He was informed about the children's daily lives, desires, expectations for the future, assuring them that the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church is ready to support them in their inspiration with the national spirit, integration into spiritual and social life.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Catholicos of All Armenians conveyed his best wishes to the Armenian pilgrims, asking God that under the auspices of His Holy Right Hand peace be re-established in Syria, and may the Lord's Blessings be always with all Syrian-Armenians.
