Ծնվել է 1962թ. – ԱՄՆ, Ֆորտ Ուորդ, Տեխաս։  Ավազանի անունը՝ Միքայել։

1980-1985թթ․- Բինգեմթոնի (Նյու Յորք) պետական համալսարան։

1985-1989թթ․-Նյու Յորքի Սբ. Ներսես ընծայարան:

1986-1990թթ․-Նյու Յորքի քաղաքային համալսարան (Երաժշտագիտական մագիստրոս)։

1992-1997թթ. -Հռոմի Արևելյան Պապական ինստիտուտ (աստվածաբանության դոկտոր)։

 

Եկեղեցական կոչումներ և ձեռնադրություն 

1990թթ․- սարկավագ՝ ձեռամբ Տ. Թորգոմ արքեպիսկոպոս Մանուկյանի։

1997թ. -կուսակրոն քահանա՝ ձեռամբ Տ. Խաժակ արքեպիսկոպոս Պարսամյանի։

2003թ․- մասնավոր վարդապետության 4 աստիճաններ՝ ձեռամբ Տ. Եզնիկ արքեպիսկոպոս Պետրոսյանի։ Թեզ՝ «Եկեղեցու նավակատիքի հնագույն արարողությունը»։

2019 թ. - եպիսկոպոս՝ ձեռամբ Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Բ Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսի։

1997-2021թթ․ - Սբ. Ներսես ընծայարանի դասախոս (ծիսագիտություն)։

2012 -2018թթ. - ԱՄՆ հայոց Արևելյան թեմի « Գրիգոր և Կլառա Զոհրաբ Տեղեկատվական կենտրոնի» տնօրեն։

2001-2018թթ ․- Ծիսագիտության այցելու դասախոս՝ Հարավային Բենդի (Ինդիանա) Նոտր Դամի համալսարանում  և Հռոմի Արևելյան Պապական ինստիտուտում:

2018-2022թթ.-ԱՄՆ Հայոց Արևելյան թեմի առաջնորդ։

2023թ.- Գևորգյան հոգևոր ճեմարանի ասպիրանտուրայի բաժնի ղեկավար։
