Washing of the Feet Service in the Mother See

It is Holy Thursday, from 16:00 in all Armenian Apostolic Churches, the Washing of the Feet service is held. The procession consisting of clergymen, soldiers and children accompanies the Patriarch of All Armenians Karekin II to the St. Trdat Open Altar. His Holiness first blessed the water and oil placed on the altar, knelt down and began to wash and anoint the feet of the twelve persons symbolizing the apostles.
