Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On February 20, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, under the presidency of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; the meeting of the Supreme Spiritual Council was convened.

The meeting opened with the Lord's Prayer. Following which the Catholicos of All Armenians welcomed the participation of His Eminence Archbishop Sahak Mashalyan, the Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople to the meeting.

Afterwards, His Holiness conveyed his blessings and best wishes to the members of the Supreme Spiritual Council and lay members, asking for the guidance of the Holy Spirit for a successful and effective meeting.

During the meeting, issues related to the ongoing developments around Armenia and Artsakh, overcoming the challenges facing the forcibly displaced Armenians from Artsakh, and preserving the spiritual and cultural heritage of Artsakh will be discussed. A special reference will be made to the organization of the re-consecration of the Mother Cathedral and the blessing of the Holy Muron during the year.

Various ecclesiastical, diocesan, educational issues are also included in the agenda.
