The meeting of the Supreme Spiritual Council Convened in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiatsin

On June 5, under the presidency of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; the meeting of the Supreme Spiritual Council was convened in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
The meeting opened with the Lord's Prayer, following which the Catholicos of All Armenians conveyed his blessings and best wishes to the clergy and lay members of the Supreme Spiritual Council.
His Holiness emphasized with particular gratitude that the Brotherhood Conference was also commenced from today, on the occasion of which the Brotherhood member Archimandrites and monks from the dioceses of Armenia and the Diaspora gathered in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
During the SSC meeting, discussions will be held related to the situation created in Armenia and Artsakh and the social support programs for Artsakh; the renovation of the Mother Cathedral; the organization of the Holy Muron blessing service and other related events; the teaching of the subject "History of the Armenian Church" in public schools, as well as issues related to the activities of the Hierarchical Sees and dioceses.
The activities of the meeting will be ongoing until June 8.
