The Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord Jesus Christ to the Temple was Celebrated in the Mother See

On February 14, on the Feast Day of the Presentation of Our Lord Jesus Christ to the Temple, with the Blessings of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; a Divine Liturgy was offered in the St. Gayane Monastery. The Celebrant was Rev. Fr. Archimandrite Garegin Hambardzumyan, Director of the Mission Department of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
In his sermon at the Divine Liturgy, Archimandrite Garegin reflected on the sacrament of the Feast, emphasizing the importance of the sacrament of the hope, due to which Simeon the Old Man waited three hundred years to see the Savior, urging the faithful to gaze into God with the same hope.
Praying to God, Rev. Fr. Archimandrite Garegin wished the faithful that the hope of Simeon the Old Man will prosper in everyone's heart; may they always be at peace; and may one day they have the happiness to say: “…For my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have prepared in the sight of all nations” (Luke 2:30-31).
At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, under the presidency of His Grace Bishop Moushegh Babayan, Grand Sacristan of the Mother See, a Service of Blessing of the newly married was offered.
