The Catholicos of All Armenians Received the Newly Appointed Ambassador of Brazil to Armenia

On March 9, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received Mr. Fabio Vaz Pitaluga, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Brazil to the Republic of Armenia at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
His Holiness congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment, wishing him an efficient mission in Armenia. His Holiness emphasized the strengthening of Armenian-Brazilian ties and the further actuation of cooperation. The Armenian Patriarch stated with joy that the Armenian community of Brazil makes its important contribution to the progress of the country, receiving the kind and caring attitude of the Brazilian authorities and people.
Afterwards, the newly appointed Ambassador presented to His Holiness his upcoming plans, emphasizing the implementation of measures aimed at strengthening Armenian-Brazilian cultural and economic ties. The Ambassador assured that he will make efforts for the further strengthening of friendly warm relations between the two states.
A reflection was also made on the current challenges in the region; the security issues facing Armenia and Artsakh; Azerbaijan's harassments against Armenia's territorial integrity and the humanitarian crisis created in Artsakh.
