Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On September 16, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; had a meeting with the President of the Republic of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan and the delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh.

The challenges facing Armenia and Artsakh in the current situation, the aggressions of Azerbaijan in recent days and the existing ontological threats were discussed. At the meeting, the necessity of consolidating all the national potential and making joint pan-Armenian efforts for resolving the difficult situation and re-establishing stable peace was emphasized.

The President of the Artsakh Republic and the parliamentarians of Artsakh have noted the importance of the state-church cooperation, particularly these days the mission of the Armenian Apostolic Church in strengthening national unity.

During the meeting, a reference was made to the activities of the Artsakh Diocese and the programs aimed at strengthening the spiritual life and what the state should do in that context.
