Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On April 25, following the Divine Liturgy in the St. Gayane Monastery, under the presidency of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; a Requiem Service was offered for Vartan Gregorian of blessed memory. On April 17, His Holiness sent a letter of condolences to his family and to all the mourners, on the occasion of his passing. The Divine Liturgy and Requiem Service was attended by the RA President Mr. Armen Sarkissian; Co-Founder of the “Aurora Humanitarian Initiative” Mr. Ruben Vardanyan; and Chair of the Aurora Prize Selection Committee Mr. Lord Ara Darzi. At the conclusion of the Service, reception took place in the Pontifical Residence, during which, His Holiness, reflecting on the exemplary image of the well-known educational, scientific and public figure, Co-Founder “Aurora Humanitarian Initiative”; President of the Carnegie Corporation of New York Mr. Vartan Gregorian; once again prayed for the peace and tranquility of the soul of the famous Armenian son.
