Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On the morning of January 13, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the pogroms in Baku and Sumgait, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; visited the Tsitsernakaberd Genocide Memorial, where His Holiness together with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and RA National Assembly Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan paid tribute to the victims of Sumgait and Baku Pogroms.

The Pontiff of All Armenians; along with His Eminence Archbishop Navasard Kjoyan, Vicar of the Araratian Patriarchal Diocese; His Grace Bishop Arshak Khachatrian, Chancellor of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin; and His Grace Bishop Mushegh Babayan, Director of Operations of the Mother See; prayed for the peace of souls of the victims of the massacres, then laid flowers at the memorials erected in honor of the victims.
