Prayer for the Armenian and Artsakh Army was Offered in the Mother See 27.09.2020

On September 27, at the St. Trdat Open Air Altar of the Mother See, following Divine Liturgy a prayer was offered for the steadfastness of Artsakh as well as for the strength of the spirit of the Armenian Army. Under the presidency of His Eminence Archbishop Nathan Hovhannisyan, Director of the External Relations and Protocol Department of the Mother See; Brotherhood members of the Mother See prayed to God asking to keep Artsakh safe and secure, invincible the native borders, strong and brave to the Armenian military, granting peace to our people of Artsakh as soon as possible.

Before the prayer, Archbishop Nathan delivered his message to those present, noting that the Armenian nation has proved the bliss of being a peacemaker for centuries.

“Today we pray for our children who are in a life-and-death struggle right now, we pray to God to strengthen their arms and protect them. We pray that God will give our generals, our soldiers, such strength that no other enemy will dare attack our Homeland. And we are sure that God is with us, we are sure that our soldiers will throw out, as it has been in recent decades, any attacker from our borders’’-noted His Eminence expressing hope that in a short time all our people will raise their prayers of thanksgiving to God for a new patriotic, national victory.
