Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On November 06, under the presidency of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; the Brotherhood of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, attended the Divine Liturgy in the St. Gayane Monastery. The Celebrant was His Eminence Archbishop Khajag Barsamyan, representative of the Catholicos of All Armenians in Vatican.

Congratulating the Armenian Pontiff on the anniversary of the enthronement, the Celebrant stated in part: “Your Holiness, we are all grateful to you that you continue to bravely face the difficulties and challenges and find ways to overcome them. We pray that your urges of love and unity will be heard by the children of our people, without discrimination, because heeding those calls and turning them into life will be the way to the salvation and victory of our people.

Your Holiness, all of us, the members of the Brotherhood of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and our faithful people bow before You, kiss Your anointed right hand and express our loyalty and filial love to You. We continue to pray with you and support you on the way to the realization of all your plans and dreams, because their realization should be not only the victory of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church, but also the victory of our motherland and the entire people”.

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, Pontifical Prayer was offered on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of the enthronement of His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians. His Eminence Archbishop Nathan Hovhannisian, Director of the External Relations and Protocol Department of the Mother See, presided over the ceremony.  Clergy and the faithful prayed to God for the Patriarchate of All Armenians, the steadfastness and brightness of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin; as well as, for the health, longevity and many fruitful years of enthronement of His Holiness.
