Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On December 09, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received Mr. Viktor Richter, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Armenia.
Wishing the Ambassador a productive mission in Armenia, His Holiness noted with gratitude, that the relations between the Embassy and the Mother See have always been warm and friendly. The Armenian Pontiff conveyed his congratulations to the people of Germany on the occasion of the election of a new Prime Minister.

The Armenian Patriarch expressed his gratitude to the German authorities for their support to Armenia during the war and in the post-war period.

In turn, Ambassador Richter assured the Pontiff of All Armenians that he will make all efforts to further develop and strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries. Speaking about the involvement of the Armenian Community and the Church in the public life of Germany, the Ambassador emphasized that it contributes to the development of cooperation between the two countries.
During the conversation, a reference was made to the return of the Armenian prisoners of war, as well as the activities carried out by various international bodies to preserve the Armenian spiritual and historical heritage under the control of Azerbaijan.
