Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On March 31, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; met with Mr. Mariam Bznuni, widow of the Deacon Narek Petrosyan, Assistant to Head Chaplain of the RA Armed Forces, who died in the Artsakh War. She was accompanied by Rev. Fr. Archimandrite Movses Sargsyan, Head Chaplain of the RA Armed Forces. The Pontiff of All Armenians conveyed his Blessings and consolation to the wife of the late Deacon, referring to the fact that He had known Narek since his study years in the Seminary and the period of his monastic life; who performed his duties with zeal and conscience everywhere, the testimony of which was his dedication to the service and courage shown during the war. His Holiness, praying for the family of the late Deacon Narek; urged to continue to live relying on God, under divine love and warmth, perpetuating his immortal memory. Deacon Narek Petrosyan was posthumously awarded the "Military Cross" 1st degree medal with the decree of the RA President, for his personal bravery and exceptional courage shown in defense of the Fatherland.
