Catholicos of All Armenians Hosted Newly Ordained Priests 14.11.2022

On November 14, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; hosted the newly ordained priests who have received the degree of priesthood on Sunday in the St. Hovhannes the Evangelist Church of the Diocese of masyatsotn and Holy Mother of God Church of Stepanakert They were accompanied by His Grace Bishop Moushegh Babayan, Grand Sacristan of the Mother See; His Grace Bishop Vrtanes abrahamyan, Primate of the Diocese of Artsakh and His Grace Bishop bagrat Galstanyan, Primate of the Diocese of Tavoush.

Bishop Moushegh introducing the priests asked for the blessings and command of His Holiness the Patriarch, so that they, after the forty-day period of preparation, bring their dedicated service to the Armenian Church.

His Holiness, conveying his Blessings and best wishes to the newly ordained Priests, congratulated them on their ordination to the priesthood.

The Patriarch of All Armenians expressed his confidence that the newly ordained priests will further increase the good reputation and authority of the Armenian Church with their God-loving, pious and patriotic service and lifestyle.

The Armenian Pontiff affirmed that the newly ordained Priests will face many difficulties and challenges in their pastoral service, but with their strong faith in God, they must overcome those difficulties wisely and patiently, making the spiritual service of the Mother Church prosperous.

His Holiness Karekin II also drew the attention of the newly ordained priests to the image of the clergyman, specifically saying that the newly ordained clergy should carry out their spiritual service with the guidance of the Holy Book, the teachings of the holy fathers and unconditional love, and be the humble and devoted servants of the nation. 

At the conclusion of the meeting, His Holiness blessed the newly ordained Priests with the “Protector” Prayer, and gifted to each of them a "Mashtots” Liturgical breviary.
