Catholicos of All Armenians Conveyed His Blessings to Pilgrims of Masis 22.06.2018

On June 22, in the Karekin I Educational Center, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received members of the St. Gevorg Church community of the city of Masis, and students of the Fund for Armenian Relief Children's Support Center of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America. They were led by Rev. Fr. Ashot Safaryan, Pastor of the Church.

Father Ashot presented the pilgrims to His Holiness and reflected on the spiritual life of the community, as well as his pastoral service in the FAR Children's Support Center.

Welcoming the pilgrims, the Pontiff of All Armenians conveyed his love and blessings to them and extended his appreciation to the spiritual pastor for his effective service.

His Holiness confirmed that the Church is powerful with her faithful, and their involvement in church life.

His Holiness referred to the importance of community-parish life, joyfully stressing that the almost completely demolished parish life as a result of the Armenian Genocide and the Soviet years, is revitalized today. His Holiness also conveyed information on the activities carried out in this regards.

During the meeting, Catholicos Karekin II reflected on the caring centers operating under the auspices of the Church, including the beneficial activities of the Child Assistance Center, appreciating the love and care displayed towards the children and teenagers sheltered in them.

His Holiness urged the pilgrims to continue living through the biblical commandments and in divine love, to strengthen their faith, expressing confidence that there will be no unacceptable phenomena in their public life. His Holiness wished that with God’s blessings, spiritual delight and joy always be in their souls.

During the meeting the pilgrims performed “Krunk” by Komitas and the hymn “Sourb, Sourb”.
